Ideas for upcoming posts.....

I have some ideas floating around in my brain for some upcoming posts. Strange, how I get some ideas in the middle of the night when I'm supposed to be sleeping. But, that's just me!

But for now, I will leave you with this:

Do not put off getting your annual PAP test. This forgetful nurse (forgetful in the fact that I sometimes forget about my own preventative health care) hasn't had a PAP in about two years. Bad nurse! Bad OB nurse at that! I know better!

I am now off to go see my midwife for my PAP. Her office schedule is so busy that it took me almost 3 months to get in to see her when I called to schedule. Yikes!

Time to go say hello to my cervix :-P

Hopefully your wait to see the dr. today goes quicker than the wait to get the appointment date!

Funny, I get ideas at night lying in bed too. But the trick is remembering them the next morning, 'cause I am generally too lazy to get up and write them down.
Good that you are getting that Pap!

I have to second the PAP appointment. I had mine in June and got an abnormal result. Turns out I have CIN-II. And I am only 22 and had the cervical cancer vaccine. PAP's are very important. I would hate to see what would have happened if it wasnt caught early.

Yep, another one in agreement :) I just had mine last week, my last one was june 2007 before that. Got the results yesterday and all is good! It's a minor inconvenience but so worth it!

If you are in a monogamous relationship with several normal paps, you don't need an annual PAP, just every three years, or so.

Lymie - I know that's the recommendations, however, there is no guarantee that your partner is monogamous. (Not saying I believe it to be true in my case). I'm a firm believer in annual paps.

Did you know Medicare will only cover a PAP for every 2 years? That affects not only older women but also younger women on disability.
